On May 3, 2025, Japan Karate-Do Shito-Kai U.S.A. proudly hosted an exceptional Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Masterclass Technical Seminar as part of the Annual International Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Gasshuku. Soke Kenyu Mabuni, the 3rd Soke of Shito-Ryu Karate-Do and the direct descendant of the founder, Kenwa Mabuni, led the event.
The seminar brought together 34 black belt practitioners from across the country, each eager to deepen their understanding of traditional karate under the guidance of Soke himself. With a legacy rooted in the timeless principles of Shito-Ryu, Soke Mabuni shared profound insights into kata, bunkai, and the philosophy of karate-do, reminding all in attendance of the core values of discipline, respect, and lifelong learning.
Soke Mabuni’s ability to blend tradition with evolution inspired and energized every participant. His teachings highlighted the depth and beauty of Shito-Ryu, leaving a lasting impact on all who trained under him that day.
The seminar was smoothly coordinated by Shihan T. Rabino, who also assisted during the sessions. His efforts ensured that the technical exchange was both organized and enriching.
To our global karate community, thank you for your unwavering dedication. Your presence, passion, and unity continue to elevate the journey of karate-do. Together, we grow stronger, wiser, and more deeply rooted in the spirit of budo.
