Shihan T. Rabino

Shihan Ted Rabino, a 7th Dan in the World Shitoryu Karatedo Federation (WSKF), has been immersed in martial arts since 1968. Beginning with Judo under Sensei K. Watanabe in Arizona, he earned a black belt in Kodokan Judo before transitioning to Karate-do in 1971. Initially training in Shuri-ryu under Sensei Robert Trias, he later advanced in Motobu Ha Shito-Ryu under Soke Shogo Kuniba, achieving 4th Dan, while also training in Ryukyu Kobudo and Yamanni-ryu Bo-jutsu. Following Kuniba’s passing, Shihan Rabino aligned with Shito-Kai under Shihan Kunio Murayama and Kaicho Genzo Iwata, becoming their USA representative. A competitor and coach, he has engaged with prestigious organizations like the JKA, USAKF, AAU, and WKF. Shihan Rabino’s legacy continues through his schools across the U.S., teaching traditional Shito-ryu Karate-do.
