However, if an applicant’s rank is in a style other than Shito Ryu, they are required to achieve a Shodan rank in Shito Ryu within the timeframe specified by our organization. Additionally, all members must maintain active membership in their respective national karate organizations.
What is the lineage of DRUK SHITO-KAI?
Druk Shito-Kai follows the lineage of Shihan T. Rabino, the USA Representative of Japan Shito-Kai and the World Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Federation (WSKF). Shihan Rabino is a direct student of the late Shihan Murayama, who was a senior disciple of Manzo Iwata—the founder of Shito-Kai. And Sensei Manzo Iwata is the direct student of Kenwa Mabuni. This lineage ensures Druk Shito-Kai maintains authentic Shito-Ryu Karate-Do as passed down from Mabuni through the Shito-Kai tradition.
